ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 29. Azerbaijan imported 551,680 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan during the January through September 2023 period, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the cost of importing crude oil from Turkmenistan in the first 9 months of this year exceeded $317.54 million, which is 3.9 times more than in the corresponding period of 2022.
Azerbaijan imported more than 104,142 tons of oil from Turkmenistan, the total cost of which exceeded $79.68 million from January through September of the previous year.
Over the course of the previous year, Azerbaijan acquired more than 352,715 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan, amounting to a total value exceeding $245.14 million.
Meanwhile, during the initial nine months of the current year, Azerbaijan acquired a total of over 1.5 million tons of crude oil, incurring a total expenditure of $822.34 million.
