ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 1. Turkmenistan discussed the development of energy cooperation with the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) member countries, Trend reports.

These issues were discussed at the energy investment forum within the framework of the CAREC program, which was held in Tbilisi on November 28-29, this year.

The event, organized jointly by the Government of Georgia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), was attended by a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Minister of Energy Serdar Saparov.

Furthermore, the forum's agenda included new energy projects, investment opportunities offered by the region, energy efficiency and sustainable solutions, wind and hydropower, etc.

The CAREC Institute acts as a link between country projects, providing consensus in the development and implementation of policies, programs and projects to support regional economic cooperation.

In his speech, the head of the Turkmen delegation noted that Turkmenistan is implementing a number of specific projects within the framework of the Energy Diplomacy Development Program for 2021-2025, implementing a policy aimed at ensuring uninterrupted and reliable energy supply to consumers in the region.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is actively developing international energy cooperation, striving to establish sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships in the field of energy.

The country is actively involved in natural gas transit projects and the construction of new international gas pipelines.
