Azerbaijan's income from Shah Deniz disclosed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 8. The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) reported that its revenues from the sale of gas and condensate from the Shah Deniz field in 2023 amounted to $1.308 billion, compared to $1.443 billion in the same period in 2022, Trend reports via the Fund.

This represents a 9.4 percent year-on-year decrease in the fund's income from the Shah Deniz field.

SOFAZ data reveals that the fund received $324.396 million from the sale of Shah Deniz condensate, a 1.3 percent decrease from $328.567 million in 2022.

Shah Deniz participating interests are: bp (operator – 29.99%), SGC (21.02%), LUKOIL (19.99%), TPAO (19.00%) and NICO (10.00%).

The existing Shah Deniz facilities’ production capacity is currently about 72.1 million standard cubic metres of gas per day or approximately 26.3 billion standard cubic metres per year.
