BP Azerbaijan to Check 2 Sections of Baku-Supsa Pipeline on Georgian Territory

Р'Р  Azerbaijan announced that oil pumping via the Baku-Supsa pipeline has been interrupted to carry out inspections on its condition in Georgia with respect to reveal technical problems in two sections. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) informed that the inspection is

held in the sections from the station N11 - N13 and N13 N15. A specialized rig has been launched in the rig. On October 25 it is planned to check up the second section.

Р'Р  Azerbaijan informed Trend that it will temporarily cease the operation of the oil production platform Chirag for 10 days in accordance with its schedule to carry out its upgrade. The work will also be carried out in the rigs under the first oil' project at Sangachal terminal.

BP produces oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields and pumps oil via the Baku-Supsa, the Baku-Novorossiysk, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and delivers to the Georgian port of Batumi by rail.
