SOCAR to Build New Pipeline to Produce Gas from Shah Deniz

Caspian Sea Oil and Gas Construction Trust of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has concluded the construction of 10km section of the gas pipeline with high pressure. This section of the new pipeline Sangachal-Hajigabul with the length of 47km, which delivers gas from Shah Deniz fields to the national gas transportation system. Mirkazim Abbasov, Senior Engineer of the Trust, informed Trend that the construction of 12 gas pipeline is scheduled for the first quarter of 2007.

SOCAR is the consumer of the pipeline, while Azerigas will carry out the construction of the project. Initial cost of the gas pipeline with high pressure is $45mln.
