Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) completed drilling a well on Muradhanli field, a source in SOCAR stated. The depth of the will is 3700 meters. Presently nearly 10 tons of oil are produced from the well. The SOCAR carries out work to increase the volume of production.
Earlier Muradhanli field was developed by Muradhanli Operating Company which has already been liquidated. The shareholders to Muradhanli Operating Company were Ramco Company and SOCAR. Ramco began drilling a well on the field, but terminated it due to hard geological condition. The contract on development of onshore Muradhanli field had been signed on 21 June 1998.
