Cost of paid services for population in Azerbaijan’s Baku increases

The cost of the paid services which are rendered to the population in Azerbaijan’s Baku city increased by 3.8 percent from January through June 2021 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports on Aug. 4 with reference to Baku’s Statistics Department.

The amount of the paid services exceeded 2.09 billion manat ($1.2 billion).

Legal entities rendered the services to the population in the amount of 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion), which is 83.5 percent of the total cost of all rendered services.

Average monthly nominal wages of employees in Baku amounted to 944.4 manat ($555.5), having decreased by four percent on an annualized basis.

According to the Baku City Statistics Department, the cost of paid services rendered to the population amounted to 4.3 billion manat ($2.5 billion) in Baku in 2020, which is by 29.6 percent less compared to 2019.
