Over 70 Azerbaijani postal offices connected to national utility payment system

Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 24 / Trend , S.Babayeva / Some 76 postal offices of the Azerpocht state venture of Azerbaijan were connected to the national utility payment system, established by the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA), the Communication and IT Ministry said n Dec. 24.

The collection of payments for used electric energy, water and gas is carried out through the system. This system was launched in July 2008. The further plans of the Communication Ministry are the introduction of this system in the regional post offices, but this will be more complexly because of the technical problems.

After the introduction of the new system the technical process of the collection of utility payments is achieved more effectively and quickly.System is directed toward the assignment of possibility to pay utility payments both by available amount in bank and post offices and branches through automatic teller machines, POS- terminals, Internet -banking. Azerpocht unites 59 post offices, two post enterprises, two daughter enterprises and eight communication centers.There are over 1,300 post offices within the state venture and they cover all settlements of the country.
