During January-October total revenue in the sphere of the information and communication technology (ICT) and postal communication in Azerbaijan totaled 1042.8 million manat compared to 933.7 million manat at the same period last year, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan said.
Growth in the telecommunications sector hit 982.9 million manat, 697.9 million manat of which falls on the mobile sector.
Significant growth was recorded in the information technology sector, where growth in 2.2 times (41.9 million manat) was recorded.
Income on the country's postal sector increased by 23.8 percent and amounted to 18 million manat.
ICT sector and postal communication hits 1.9 percent of GDP. In the non-oil GDP total share of ICT and postal sector of the country is 4.5 percent.
