Azerbaijan forming budget to finance IT projects in 2018

The State Fund for Development of Information Technologies forms a budget to finance IT projects in 2018, a source in the country’s telecommunications market told Trend Oct. 11.

According to the source, the state fund has allocated 200,000 manats as a concessional loan for introduction of the electronic education system at the “XXI century” school since early 2017.

The funds allocated earlier by the state fund for consessional crediting of IT projects are gradually returning, and as of today, the fund’s budget totals approximately 3.5 million manats, noted the source.

The Fund allocated 3.895 million manats to finance IT projects in 2016.

Currently, PASHA Bank, Bank Respublika, Demirbank, Rabitabank, Bank BTB, Kapital Bank and Xalq Bank are the authorized agents of the State Fund for Development of Information Technologies.

The maximum amount of a grant to support IT projects can reach 300,000 manats (for a period of 36 months). Small grants are envisaged in the amount of 10 to 100,000 manats, medium grants – from 100 to 200,000 manats, and big grants - from 200 to 300,000 manats.
