A new method has been applied to detect violations when placing outdoor advertising in Baku, a source close to the project told Trend.
According to the source, to this end, devices are used for remote measurement of advertising signs, billboards, posters, etc.
"Control is carried out by the State Advertising Agency. The device they use allows them to measure the size of a billboard, enter information into the database and, in case of a violation, inform the advertiser about the need to pay the corresponding duty. The project is an innovation and will be presented to the public by the end of 2019," the source said.
The State Advertising Agency of Azerbaijan was established in 2017.
