The volume of revenues of Azerbaijan’s Azercosmos JSC from the export of satellite and telecommunication services amounted to $28 million in January-August 2019, which is 83 percent more than in the same period of 2018, according to the Export Review published in September by Azerbaijan’s Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication, Trend reports.
The volume of exports of satellite services in August 2019 amounted to $2.5 million.
According to the center, the income of Azercosmos obtained from the export of services amounted to 89 percent of its total income.
The services were rendered to 23 countries during the aforementioned period, including the US, Malaysia, France, the UK and the UAE.
Azercosmos operates 2 communications satellites (Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2) and the low-orbit satellite Azersky.
