The new viTV service presented by Azerbaijan’s Aztelecom LLC will operate on the basis of over-the-top (OTT) technology, a source in Aztelecom LLC told Trend.
“Subscribers will be able to watch 150 local and foreign TV channels via IPTV, pause and back at any time, view a three-day archive,” the source said.
“One of the main advantages of viTV is OTT technology, which ensures the opportunity to use this service anywhere in the world,” the source said. “At any time, a client may take the set-top box (STB) device to another house, city or country and watch favorite channels. For this purpose, high-speed internet is required. Compared to analog TV system, IPTV has such advantages as more qualitative image and sound.”
In late 2019, Aztelecom provided its customers with an interactive TV service under the viTV trademark, which is an updated service and meets the users’ requirements.
Aztelecom LLC launched big projects to upgrade the distribution network to improve customer service up to the high standards.
Aztelecom under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was established in August 1992. This company is the Azerbaijani national telecommunications operator, rendering a wide range of telecommunication services to the private and corporate clients, telecom operators and other users throughout the country.
