Signing of agreement on co-op in Azeri postal sphere scheduled for 2006

Azerbaijan and Egypt will sign an agreement on cooperation in the postal sphere during 2006. The draft project drawn up by Egypt is under consideration at the Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technologies Ministry, the Ministry told Trend. It will come as 15th agreement undersigned by Azerpocht State Enterprise.

The agreement will include speed-up of bilateral money transference and preparation of book tariffs.

The agreement will be concluded within the memo on cooperation in the communications signed by Communications and Information Technologies Ministers Ali Abbasov, of Azerbaijan, and Tarek Kamal, of Egypt, during the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in Tunis from 16 to 18 November.

The Ministry noted that similar agreement was signed with Iran and Vietnam a month ago.

Besides, Azerbaijan has agreement on money transference on STEFI system with Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Moldova.
