Only three TV channels (AzTV, Ictimai TV and Lider TV) have coverage zone more than 70%, Trend reports quoting Mikail Abbasov, technical director, PA Teleradio.
This is conditioned by number of transmitters, their location and quality. Said three channels are followed by ANS (16 transmitters), Space TV, ATV. Over 200 settelemtns and villages receive AzTV only.
11 out of 22 TV channels broadcasted in Azerbaijan cover Baku (AzTV, Ictimai TV, ANS, RTR, РћRT, ATV, Space, STV, Kanal-D, TRT-1) and regions alike and 10 only in specific regions (Kapaz, Alternativ, Simrug, Aygun, Dunya, Kanal 35 and so).
At the same time, 5 out of 13 radio frequencies cover Baku and Absheron peninsula (Europa +, Radio Russia, BBC, Lider FM, Frans Radio and FM-106.3) and the rest 8 channels (Ictimai, Burc FM, Respublika, Space FM, Lider FM, ANS Г‡M, FM-106, Radio Antenn) the whole republic.
