Kazakhstan's QAZAQ AIR airline company to launch more regular flights

Kazakhstan’s QAZAQ AIR regional airline company is planning to start implementing flights on the Nur-Sultan – Taldykorgan and Nur-Sultan – Petropavl routes on the regular basis, a representative of QAZAQ AIR told Trend.

According to the representative, the main highlight of the company’s operations in 2019 was the relocation from Almaty city to Nur-Sultan city in order to expand company’s flight routes.

“This allowed the company to increase the efficiency of company’s fleet use and create opportunities for comfortable travel for Kazakhs. The company has transported 23 percent more passengers in 2019 compared to 2018,” the official said.

In Dec. 2019 QAZAQ AIR company has won new air routes: Nur-Sultan - Petropavlovsk - Nur-Sultan; Nur-Sultan - Taldykorgan - Nur-Sultan.

According to the representative, flights on these routes are already being implemented by the company and are planned on the regular basis in 2020.

Currently the flights on Nur-Sultan – Taldykorgan route are implemented via De Havilland Dash-8-Q400NG planes, the official noted.

The fleet of the company was expanded with two new flights in 2019 and currently includes five De Havilland Dash-8-Q400NG planes, average life span of which is no less than three years.

“Airline company is planning to further expand routes network in the future with both regional and international flights depended on the market demand. As always, the airline company will focus on providing comfortable regional flights at affordable prices,” the official concluded.

QAZAQ AIR is Kazakhstan’s domestic regional airline founded by Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, which owns 100 percent of airline’s shares.
