Around 1,260 cargo transportation runs were carried out from Italy to Turkey by Italian trucks, which is 12 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
Italy accounts for 1.91 percent of the total volume of cargo transported to Turkey by trucks over the reporting period, the Association said.
The UND noted that 290 cargo transportation runs were carried out from Italy to Turkey by Italian trucks in May 2020, which is equal to the figure of May 2019.
In the first 5 months of 2020, 65,957 cargo runs were transported from foreign countries to Turkey, which is 22 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
In May 2020, 9,285 cargo movement runs were carried out from abroad to Turkey, showing a 51 percent annual decrease.
