Turkmenistan aims to intensify international co-op in transport sector

Turkmenistan is aimed at enhancing international cooperation in the transport sector, Trend reports with reference to "Zolotoy Vek" (Golden Age) newspaper.

In addition, the Kazakhstan–Turkmenistan - Iran railway link, The Kerki-Imamnazar-Akina railway and others have strengthened Turkmenistan's status as a transit and transport hub in Eurasia.

A special role in the development of logistics in Turkmenistan is assigned to the Caspian region, where a key multi-modal center has been formed on the basis of Turkmenbashi International Seaport Turkmenbashi, which coordinates cargo flows of all types of transport.

Russian KAMAZ company, which supplies its trucks to Turkmenistan is an example of cooperation between Turkmenistan and foreign companies in the transport sector.

Earlier, KAMAZ and Turkmenautoulaglary State Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Communications of Turkmenistan signed an agreement for the supply of 1,982 vehicles in 2019-2021.

According to the company, KAMAZ will deliver 463 vehicles to Turkmenistan in 2021.

Meanwhile, the company is going to open new modern service centers in four regions of Turkmenistan.
