Volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports announced

A total of 9.13 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 21 through December 20, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization.

While in the same month last Iranian year, 11.2 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports. This is a decrease of 18.8 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

According to the statistics, so, 5.5 million tons of products were loaded and 3.62 million tons were unloaded in the Iranian ports over the 9th month.

“In general, 3.52 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports within 9th month. So, 2.41 million tons of oil products were loaded and 1.1 million tons were unloaded,” the statistics said.

Furthermore, 1.84 million tons of essential products were loaded and unloaded during the reporting month. Of this, 1.79 million tons were unloaded and 45,400 tons were loaded, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 947,000 tons of metal products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month. Thus, 85,700 tons of metal products were unloaded and 861,000 tons are loaded.

“At the same time, 1.91 million tons of construction materials and mining products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian over the mentioned month. Of this, 257,000 tons were unloaded and 1.65 million tons were loaded,” the statistics said.

In addition, 26,200 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the 9th month. About 23,600 tons of products were unloaded and 2,540 tons were loaded, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 237,000 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded during this month. Of this, 25,300 tons were unloaded and 211,000 tons were loaded.

“Moreover, 55,700 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, paper, and wood materials were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports. Of this, 54,600 tons were unloaded and 1,000 tons were loaded within a ninth month,” the statistics said.

As many as 250,000 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month. So, 98,800 tons of container products were unloaded and 151,000 tons were loaded, the statistics said.
