Weekly flights on the route Tashkent - Riga - Tashkent will resume in May, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekistan Airways.
According to the information, all foreigners are allowed to visit Latvia only with justification, namely work, study, family reunification, medical treatment, residence permit and funeral. The reason must be indicated on the covidpass.lv website.
Earlier the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Kadambay Sultanov and the Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Transport of Latvia Uldis Reimanis via online meeting discussed prospects for the resumption of regular flights of Uzbekistan Airways on the route Tashkent – Riga – Tashkent.
It is reported that the issue for the resumption of regular flights between Uzbekistan and Latvia was raised in connection with the decision of the Latvian government to allow air connections with third countries starting from March 17 this year.
Commenting on the decision of the Latvian government to open the country for flights from third countries, the Deputy Secretary of State noted the expediency of starting to discuss the technical details of the resumption of Tashkent – Riga – Tashkent flights.
At the same time, the importance of taking into account the degree of restrictions and requirements planned for introduction in the country was emphasized.
