Cargo movements in Iran’s Bushehr port up

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 12.8 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2021), compared to the 7th month (September 23 through October 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 443,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 273,000 tons were loaded and 170,000 tons were unloaded.

During the eighth month, 273,000 tons of cargo were exported and 51,800 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 74 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 118,000 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 8th month.

Also, 424 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 7,720 tons of essential products, 102 tons of metal products, 236,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,980 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 8th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 3 tons of chemicals, 2,560 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 40,300 tons of container products, 153,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

As reported, about 11.1 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the eighth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.7 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 13.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
