Loading/unloading activity in Iran’s Astara port up

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Astara port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 2.7 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 19,400 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Astara port in the ninth month. Of this, 12,000 tons were loaded and 7,400 tons were unloaded.

About 12,000 tons of cargo were exported and 3,590 tons were imported through the Astara port over the reporting month.

Also, 3,820 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit during the 9th month.

According to the statistics, 838 tons of essential products, 170 tons of metal products, 7,480 tons of construction and mining materials were loaded and unloaded in the Astara port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 104 tons of equipment, vehicles, spare parts, 6,080 tons of chemicals, 3,610 tons of leather goods, clothing, wood materials, paper, and so on, 149 tons of small and assorted goods, and 923 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
