BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia’s Tatarstan region exceeded $466 million from January through September 2022, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, Trend reports, citing the press service of Kazakh president.
The statement was made during the meeting between the president of Kazakhstan and the Head of Russia’s Tatarstan region Rustam Minnikhanov.
President Tokayev expressed satisfaction with the level of relations between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan, and added that he will continue supporting joint projects between the sides.
Minnikhanov said that today the first batch of the products was released at the tire factory built in Kazakhstan by a Tatar company.
The enterprise is expected to reach its full capacity next year by producing 3.5 million tires. Some 1,100 people will be employed at the factory, and the total amount of investments accounts for $400 million.
