Kazakhstan ready to share experience on ecological problems' solution: Iskakov

(Kazinform) - Kazakhstan advances many countries in questions of solution of ecological problems and formation of appropriate legislative base, and is ready to share its experience. Kazakh Minister of Environmental Protection N. Iskakov has announced about it at the opening of the 3rd session of environmental protection ministers of OEC member states in Almaty city.

N. Iskakov read appeal of Kazakh Prime Minister Daniyal Akhmetov who called countries of Organization of Economic Cooperation to close and effective interaction and wished success in their work. Delegations from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan are taking part in the conference, reports Trend.

Heads of delegations discussed environmental issues of their countries and regional cooperation in this sphere. They noted necessity to interact for complete realization of Plan of actions on cooperation of OEC states in the sphere of environmental protection for 2003-2007 confirmed by the first session in 2002 in Tehran and additional second sitting of the ministers in 2004 in Istanbul.

Within the framework of the session there will be organized a roundtable Ecology and tourism. And it is expected that heads of the delegations will sign a communiquГ© on collaboration in the sphere of environmental protection and hold bilateral meetings.

OEC is an intergovernmental regional organization established in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey with the purpose to promote economical, technical and cultural cooperation between its member countries. In 1992 seven more states joined the organization.
