Majilis: Central Asian AIDS relief

(KAZINFORM) - A regional group for Central Asian AIDS relief project control was formed on October 6, 2005, due to the decision of the Council of Leadership of Central Asian Cooperation Organization member states.

It will be located in Almaty. An agreement, signed with Kazakhstan Government on September 5, 2005, defines provisions on its stay in the country.

This document was forwarded to the Majilis for ratification. Chamber's Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security proceeded to making a conclusion. This new organization will realize a regional project, channeled by the World Bank and the British international development department in terms of a grant, the authors say.

In conformity with the agreement, all its assets, revenues, goods and money means, designated for official use and realization of the grant are exempted from customs dues and taxation.

Healthcare Minister Anatoly Dernovoi is charged to report on the bill, reports Trend.
