The new president of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov promised to put the country’s interests at the first place. He stated this in the opening speech after the oath during the inauguration, «24.kg» reports.
According to the president, he will put strict demands to all branches of power.
«Democracy has two friends: the first — freedom, the second — responsibility. I will spare neither the strength nor the time to fulfill my duties to the people,» Sooronbai Jeenbekov said.
The inauguration of the elected president of Kyrgyzstan was held today at Ala-Archa State Residence. He said that the priority direction of the policy for him would be the fight against corruption and by first decree promised to reward the former head of state Almazbek Atambayev.
The presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan were held on October 15. At least 54.77 percent of voters voted for Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
