BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 14. A fleet of 25 buses has recently arrived in Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek from the Chinese «Zhong Tong Bus» manufacturing plant, Trend reports.

The first batch of 500 apartments is anticipated to be progressively delivered within the current year, followed by a second batch in 2024, according to the municipal officials of the city.

In Kyrgyzstan, more than 1,000 new, environmentally friendly buses will be delivered to help with transportation concerns in the city.

The same company had previously supplied Bishkek with a batch of 120 buses with effective gas engines. It was decided to spend budget funds to buy an extra 1,000 buses of the same type after they passed road tests with flying colors.

Meanwhile, China emerged as the third-largest supplier of passenger cars to Kyrgyzstan during the period from January through June 2023, exporting a total of 10,501 cars valued at $170.680 million to the country.

Above China stood South Korea, which exported 21,708 cars worth $183.468 million to Kyrgyzstan, followed by the US, which exported 11,442 cars worth $93.092 million.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan imported 67,430 passenger cars in the first half of 2023, which is an increase of 4.1 times year-on-year.
