Tajikistan and Pakistan agreed to join their efforts to fight international terrorism, Itar-Tass reported on Friday.
The sides came to an agreement during the meeting of General Khalid Shameem Wynne, the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan Armed Forces with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
"Tajikistan and Pakistan are satisfied with the level of bilateral cooperation in fighting with present threats and challenges, including international terrorism and extremism," Tajik President's press-service reported.
The sides stressed the importance of regional information exchange between the two countries in this regard.
Tajikistan and Pakistan also agreed to collaborate in restoration of post-conflict Afghanistan, excluding the intervention in the county's inner policy.
