BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. Tajikistan revealed the value of precious metals exports from January through June 2022, Trend reports referring to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
According to the statistics, the value of Tajikistan's precious metal exports (including items made of precious metals) in the first half of 2022 amounted to $593.8 million.
The value of Tajik gold exports in the reporting period amounted to $593 million, while the silver exports totaled $840,872.
Switzerland ranked first among the main gold-importing countries from Tajikistan in the first half of 2022, which imported 6,970 tons of gold worth $411.2 million, surpassing China ($104.8 million).
Notably, Tajikistan is one of the countries, that has abundant deposits of precious metals and is continually expanding the production of these metals.
