ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 26. Turkmenistan revealed the area of land sown with winter crops by farmers in Sayat district, Lebap region, in the current season, Trend reports.
According to official data, 3,140 hectares of rice, 250 hectares of potatoes, and 150 hectares of onions were sown by farmers in the region this season.
Furthermore, 108 hectares of garlic, 140 hectares of tomatoes, 260 hectares of carrots, 1,465 hectares of mung beans, and 540 hectares of corn were also sown in the region.
At the moment, farmers are actively working on the sown areas to take care of the new crop.
Modern technologies, efficient use of land resources, and active support from the state contribute to the development of agriculture in the region, making it a prosperous and successful agricultural region of Turkmenistan.
