ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 23. Farmers of the Dashoguz region located in the north of Turkmenistan have harvested over 24,000 tons of tomatoes this season, Trend reports.
According to official data, farms in the region have also harvested 2,000 tons of cucumbers, 10,000 tons of cabbage and 13,000 tons of carrots this season.
The main part of vegetable production in the region was collected by farms of Akdepe and Boldumsaz districts.
Furthermore, it is also planned to harvest onions and a new batch of carrots in the Dashoguz region in the autumn.
Despite the weather and climatic conditions, Dashoguz region is one of the largest producers of fruit and vegetable crops in the country.
Meanwhile, a consistent increase in the volume of their cultivation is taking place on a scientific basis, taking into account the agroecological characteristics of the region.
