First international publishing exhibition ends in Turkmen capital

(Turkmenistan.ru) - The Ashgabat forum attended by representatives of the well known publishing houses and polygraphic industries from 16 countries was held for two days. During this time, thousands of Ashgabat citizens and guests of the capital visited the expositions displayed at the Exhibition Palace. They had the opportunity to learn about the activities of old business partners of Turkmenistan (for instance, the German Heidelberg company that installed the state-of-the-art equipment in the publishing houses of the independent country is among them) and those that are discovering the Turkmen market for themselves, reports Trend.

The stands of Turkey and China displayed classic literature publications, stationery and various souvenirs. The exposition telling about the activities of the Ukrainian Printing Academy and Bogdan and Varvara Honenko Arts Museum, the biggest in CIS museum specializing on the art of the Orient, attracted the visitors' attention.

The stands offering the wide range of printing services of Turkmenistan's Printing Center, pavilions of the Turkmenkitap wholesale and retail sale company and the Chaphanahyzmatlary state enterprise abundant in publishing novelties were especially popular. The exposition of the Yashlyk Pulp and Paper Complex and State Archives of Turkmenistan aroused big interest as well.

The specialists visiting the professional exhibition noted the high level of the polygraphic industry's development in Turkmenistan. The quality and diversity of the printed production turned out in the country meeting the world standards is a vivid proof of it. Owing to the exhibition, a number of Turkmen printing companies have considerably broadened the circle of their customers.
