The Uzbek authorities intends to attract foreign direct investment in the amount of more than $9.5 billion in 2022, Trend reports referring to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.
The authorities plan to launch 282 large and more 9,000 regional projects in 2022. In addition, it is planned to increase country’s exports to $14 billion.
In 2020, the country's volume of export amounted to $9 billion. In 2021, this indicator reached $12 billion.
In 2021, more than $10 billion of foreign investment was attracted, including $8.1 billion of direct investment. As a result, 318 large and more than 15,000 regional projects were launched, more than 273,000 jobs were created.
