Japanese agency to improve medical service at clinic in Uzbekistan

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan signed a Grant Agreement for 794 million Japanese yens ($6.9 million) on the “Project for Improvement of Medical Service at the Innovative Clinic under the Medical Institute of Karakalpakstan”,Trend reports via JICA.

The signing has marked the start of procedures on supplying of medical equipment to the Innovative Clinic under the Medical Institute of Karakalpakstan.

Uzbek ministry had completed construction and renovation work of buildings of the Innovative Clinic under the Medical Institute of Karakalpakstan.

The joint project is in line with the Concept for Development of the Health Care System of Uzbekistan for 2019–2025 which sets development of a high-quality health care system in the country, ensuring the preservation and improvement of public health and creation of conditions for raising a healthy generation, is a priority of state policy.

The project also contributes to the formation of an effective system of training, retraining and advanced training of medical personnel, development of medical science.
