BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. The value of supplies of textile products from Uzbekistan to the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has reached $1.6 billion, Trend reports via Uzbekistan’s Uztekstileprom association.
In the first six months of 2022, the trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the SCO countries increased by 25.3 percent and amounted to $14 billion.
In addition, exports over this period increased by 24.4 percent and reached $4.6 billion, while imports increased by 27.3 percent and amounted to $9.4 billion.
Last year, Uzbekistan launched 47 investment projects worth $854.6 million with the support of the SCO.
In the first eight months of this year, deliveries of Uzbek goods reached $1.6 billion.
Last year Uzbekistan exported textile products to SCO countries worth $1.4 billion. It is planned that this year this figure will be increased up to $2.1 billion.
The total trade turnover of the country with the SCO member states for five years - from 2017 to 2021 increased by 1.7 times.
