TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 18. The 9th meeting of the Uzbek-Czech Intergovernmental Commission on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation was held in the Uzbekistan's capital Tashkent under the chairmanship of the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov and the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jozef Síkela, Trend reports.
The meeting was attended by high-ranking representatives of ministries, departments, industry associations and diplomatic missions of both countries.
In their speeches, the heads of delegations highly appreciated the strengthening of trust and the constant high-level dialogue between the countries, noted the successful visit of the head of the Czech government to Uzbekistan in April this year, and also stressed that effective intergovernmental contacts serve as a solid basis for expanding mutual trade, attracting investment and developing industrial cooperation.
At the same time, they highlighted the positive dynamics of the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic, especially noting the significant growth of mutual trade in recent years.
During the meeting, practical aspects of the implementation of investment projects in various industries such as mining, electrical engineering, agriculture, hydropower, construction materials production and banking were discussed. The sides expressed their full readiness to further expand the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
As a result of the event, the protocol of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission was signed, as well as a joint roadmap for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic, which reflected new mutually beneficial projects.
