TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 22. Minimum consumer expenditures in Uzbekistan increased by 9.3 percent, amounting to 621,000 soums ($50.37) per month in 2024.

Citing the Uzbekistan President's Statistics Agency, this indicator is critical in establishing the country's poverty status.

Uzbekistan's minimum consumer spending is now 621,000 soums ($50.37) per month or 20,700 soums ($1.68) per day, a 9.3 percent increase from 2023 (568,000 soums or $46.07 per month and 18,900 soums or $1.53 per day).

This metric was calculated using the official inflation rate, which stood at 8.77 percent in 2023. At the same time, the average price of food products in the country increased by 9.7 percent.

Furthermore, according to data published by Uzbekistan's Senate, the state economy is predicted to rise by 5.65.8 percent.

Consolidated budget receipts are expected to be 375 trillion soums ($30 billion), while expenses will be 427.6 trillion soums ($34.5 billion).
