Iran President: Iran's foreign policy based on expansion of ties with all states

(IRNA) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Iran's new ambassador to Spain, Seyyed Davoud Salehi-Monfared, on Tuesday said that Iran's policy is definitely based on expansion of relations with all countries, including Spain.

According to a report released by the Presidential Office Media Department, the president pointed to the cultural history of the Spanish people and said that mutual relations should be expanded, reports Trend.

For his part, Salehi-Monfared, prior to leaving on his new diplomatic mission, submitted a report on his future programs to the president and briefed him on the latest developments in Spain.

The chief executive wished success to the Iranian diplomat in Madrid.
