Foreign investors have founded 41 projects in Iran since January 16 when the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was implemented, an official with Iranian government said.
Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, speaking at the press conference, said that the projects founded by foreigners amount to $3.418 billion, Trend's correspondent reported from the event.
Nobakht further added that $4.2 billion worth of deals have also been agreed upon for building six power plants with a total capacity of 5000 megawatts (MW).
In June, Nobakht said Iran signed a new contract with a group of foreign companies to attract $4.2 billion worth direct investments for building power plants in the country.
The power plants are projected to be built in the cities of Ahvaz, Dehloran, Zahedan, Saveh, Sufian and Bonab.
