Currently about 37 million cubic meters of gas per day (mcm/d) is produced from phases 17 and 18 of South Pars gas field, Hassan Bouyeri, director of the phases said.
The two phases are completed by 96 percent, Bouyeri said, oil ministry’s SHANA news agency reported Aug. 8.

He further said that the output of the two phases will reach its final production capacity which is 56 mcm/d by February 2017.

The phases 17 and 18 of Iran's South Pars gas field has produced 9.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas since it became operational in January 2015, Bouyeri added.
He said that some six million barrels of gas condensate has been also produced from the mentioned phases since January 2015.

Iranian side of South Pars, located in southern region, is divided into 24 development phases.

The field contains 40 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, of which one third belongs to Iran and the remains to Qatar.

Currently, Iran produces 430 mcm/d of gas from this field and planned to increase this volume by 100 mcm/d by March 2017.
