BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 24. Various foreign currencies worth about $125 million were sold on April 23 at Iran's Foreign Currency and Gold Exchange Center at the NIMA exchange rate, the data of Iran's Central Bank said, Trend reports.

According to the information, on April 23, foreign currency worth about 427 million dollars was offered for sale.

To note, Iran's Currency and Gold Exchange Center started operating on February 21, 2023, to prevent a sharp rise in the prices of foreign currencies on the black market.

The official exchange rate of the CBI today is $1, which is 42,000 rials, and one euro, which is 44,910 rials. The CBI notes that several goods can be imported at this rate.

The exchange rate announced by the CBI to banks and exchange offices is called the SANA system. According to this system, one euro was worth 470,889 rials, and $1 was worth 440,382 rials.

The system in Iran in which businessmen sell a certain portion of foreign currency obtained by exporting products to the country's economy is called NIMA. According to this system, the price of one euro is 439,674 rials, and the price of $1 is 411,189 rials.

The price of $1 in Iran's black market ranges from 645,000 to 648,000 rials, and the price of one euro ranges from 690,000 to 693,000 rials.
