Senior Iranian and Russian diplomats in a meeting on Monday reiterated Tehran and Moscow's support to the ceasefire in Syria, Russian Foreign Ministry said, IRNA reported.
Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his visiting Russian counterpart Mikhail Bogdanov conferred in Tehran with mutual confidence on the developments in Middle East, said a statement issued by the ministry.
They exchanged views on implementation of the UNSC Resolution 2268 over fighting terrorist groups in Syria and Resolution 2254 over diplomatic resolution of the Syrian crisis, it read.
Bogdanov, who is the Russian presidential envoy on the Middle East and Africa, and Amir-Abollahian also reviewed regional conflicts in Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon, the issue of Palestine and the Persian Gulf developments.
