Iran is celebrating the "national day of struggle against the global arrogance (imperialist powers)" Nov. 4, which is being accompanied by rallies throughout the country.
Tasnim news agency has reported that rallies are being held today in all the cities of Iran.
Reportedly, demonstrations started with a rally in front of a building, which formerly housed the embassy of the United States in Tehran.
The rallies take place each year on Nov. 4, on the anniversary of seizure of the US embassy by university students in 1979.
It was also the anniversary of the exile of the founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini, in 1964.
