Flood breaks dam in southern Iran (PHOTO)

An earth dam in Mohammadabad area of Jahrom city in Iran’s Fars Province has been broken by heavy flood.
Alireza Sahraiian, special governor of Jahrom, asked the people in the area down from the dam to take measures to prevent a disaster, Mehr news agency reported February 17.
Mehr also said that 700 houses in Jahrom have collapsed due to the flood, while people were evacuated from five villages in the Fars Province.
There are no reports about casualties so far.
