Bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the United States are built on the long-term, mutually beneficial basis, and they have great potential, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov's welcome address to participants of the second exhibition of companies of the U.S. and the Turkmen-U.S. Business Forum, held in Ashgabat, says on Wednesday, State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reported.
As the message says, the exhibition and business forum opens new prospects of long-term partnership before economic diplomacy and investment spheres.
"Trade and economic component plays a significant role in the Turkmen-U.S. dialogue and is regarded as one of priority directions of bilateral cooperation development," Berdimuhammadov's message says.
The message says that political consultations systematically held in Turkmenistan and the United States, contribute to further boosting of the Turkmen-U.S. cooperation, as well as enhancing of fruitful business contacts.
The U.S.-Turkmen Business Council plays a significant role in promoting economic partnership, joint organization of exhibitions and business forums, the president believes.
"I am confident that the second exhibition of the U.S. companies and the Turkmen-U.S. Business Forum, jointly held by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the U.S.-Turkmen Business Council, will be an important event contributing to enhancing of mutually beneficial cooperation," Berdimuhammadov's message says.
