Georgia, Tbilisi, July 16 /Trend N.Kirtzkhalia/
The Georgian president has expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the queues in front of the Liberty Bank offices in Batumi and has threatened the bank's management to deprive it of the right to render services to retirees. Retirees shouldn't wait in queues, President Mikhail Saakashvili said during a visit to a branch on Monday.
Georgia started issuing state insurance policies since July 16, due to what the banks have to meet pensioners who receive pension together with the policies.
He said the bank's work is very poorly organized, as the management of Liberty Bank was supposed to prepare for an influx of retirees and provide them with timely service.
"We're not going to let the bankers grew rich and tortured people, and if they can not work, then we will find those who can work" Saakashvili said.
He personally spoke to the retirees, saying that from September 1 retirees will be able to receive medical care in the year to 15 000 lari ($ 1 = 1.64 lari), and also to buy medicine for 200 lari per month, and the government will pay 50 percent of their value through the insurance policies.
He also promised to retirees that pension will increase to $100 since 2013. It should be noted that the president of Liberty Bank is the former Prime Minister of Georgia Vladimer Gurgenidze.
