(Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has said Russia is turning into one of the world's economic leaders.
"We have restored the foundations of the Russian economy on an entirely new market base and are steadily turning into one of the economic leaders," Putin said at a press conference on Thursday.
"Only some countries have achieved such results as growth in securities and growth in Russian assets over the last twenty years, above all Asian countries, such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand
to some extent, and China. Russia is steadily moving up in this line. This is our greatest achievement," he said.
