A man is believed to have stabbed himself in the neck with a pair of scissors after strangling his lover, Hong Kong police said Friday, dpa reported.
The couple were discovered lying together Thursday in bed in their home by the man's teenage brother.
Police said the woman, 19, had no apparent injuries except red marks on her neck. Her 27-year-old boyfriend was alive but had a pair of scissors stuck in his neck.
The pair were taken to hospital for treatment where the woman was declared dead. The man was said to be in serious condition Friday.
Police investigations were ongoing.
