Italian police recovered stolen artworks, including paintings by Lucio Fontana, George Grosz and Wassily Kandinsky, in an overnight raid, Italian media reported Saturday.
Paintings by Giorgio de Chirico, as well as sculptures were also found among the stolen items in the raid on a country house northwest of Rome, DPA reported.
Two people who were believed to have been preparing to sell the works were arrested.
The 14 paintings are estimated to be worth an estimated 30 million euros (37 million dollars), according to reports.
