Fifty five-year-old Attila Ashir as a sign of protest against the decision of the Turkish Government burnt himself in front of the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's residential, the website of the Milliyet newspaper reported.
Doctors were able to save the man's life. The reason for this step was the Turkish Government's refusal to allow Ashir to bring his wife, Iranian citizen, to the country.
